1. Who publishes this

The Golden Meridian is an independent publication based in Melbourne, Australia. You can reach us through the contact page.

2. What the editions are

General travel guidance, not professional advice. We work to keep the editions accurate and correct errors when we find them, but seasons shift, operators close and prices move. Confirm anything you are planning around — opening times, ferry routes, road access, entry requirements — with the provider before you commit money to it.

3. Bookings are with the provider

We do not sell travel, take payment, or act as an agent for anyone. Where a link takes you to a booking site, villa collection or operator, your contract is with them alone and on their terms. Their availability, pricing, cancellation policy and conduct are theirs, not ours.

4. Commercial relationships

Some links earn us a commission if you book through them, at no extra cost to you. Those links are disclosed where they appear. A commission does not buy a place in an edition, a position in an ordering, or a recommendation, and what appears in an edition is settled before anything commercial is attached to it. Where we make an introduction to an operator we may be paid by that operator, and we will say so at the time rather than afterwards.

5. What belongs to whom

The text, structure, illustrations and cartographic plates on this site belong to the publisher. Photographs belong to the photographers credited beneath them and are used under licence — a credit on this site is not permission for you to reuse the image. Quote us with attribution and a link; do not republish editions in whole, and do not scrape the site to train a model or to build a derivative directory.

6. Using the enquiry form

Send genuine enquiries. Do not use the form for bulk messages, for anything unlawful, or to submit material you do not have the right to send. We may decline to respond, and we may block abuse of it. What happens to what you send is covered by the privacy notice.

7. Availability

The site is published as it stands and may be unavailable, changed or withdrawn at any time. We do not promise continuous availability, and we do not guarantee that a page you read today will still be here in the same form.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on the editions, from a third party you reached through a link, or from the site being unavailable. Nothing here excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded by agreement.

9. Changes to these terms

These terms may change; the current version is always the one on this page and the date below moves when it does.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and the courts of Victoria have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
