The Golden Meridian is an independent travel publication about Europe’s coasts, islands, hill towns and mountain valleys, published from Melbourne, Australia.
Each edition covers one place: when to go and when to stay away, where to stay at three price points, and what is worth booking before you fly. The aim is a page you could plan a trip from.
How we choose
- No hotel, villa or operator pays to be included.
- A place to stay or an experience is named only after we have looked it up at the source, and its card links there.
- Where we have no reliable price, we don’t print one.
- Photographs are licensed and credited to the photographer. We never use a generated image of a real place.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, tell us through the contact page and we will check it and fix it.
